Entrance tests

Year 7 and Year 9 entry

Entrance Tests for entry in September 2011 will take place on Saturday 15th January 2011.

For Year 7 the Entrance Test consists of papers in Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

For Year 9 the Entrance Test consists of papers in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning.

Pupils with Special Educational Needs should discuss their application with the school prior to the Entrance Test.

Specimen papers

The following specimen papers (in pdf format) have been provided as examples of the examinations sat by pupils on application to the school for Year 7 and Year 9. Syllabi for Mathematics are also provided. The Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning tests are subject to copyright so we are unable to provide specimen papers but we have included some similar example questions.

Please Note: The Perse School will not enter into any correspondence with regard to specimen papers on this website. They are provided simply as helpful examples to aid preparation and should be understood as such. Solutions will not be provided or discussed by the school. All papers have been converted into pdf format and may have suffered slight layout alterations as a result.
