Sixth FormThe Sixth Form offers great flexibility and opportunities for specialisation. Teaching groups are small (normally a maximum of 14 per class, often fewer). Our aim is to help students to achieve their potential, and to prepare successfully for transition to University.

There is a great sense of freedom in being able to construct your own curriculum.

Many students choose to specialise at AS.  An aspiring Medic may select Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths;  an engineer might opt for Double Maths, Physics and Technology as an excellent springboard for University study.

Others will keep their options open, and might study French, Psychology, Biology and Economics;  or English, Maths, Music and History.

There are three key factors to consider:

Sixth FormThe following A-level subjects were offered for September 2010:  Mathematics, Further Maths, Physics, Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Philosophy, RS, Economics, Politics, Sports Studies, Art, Music, English Literature, Geography, Early History, Modern History, Latin, Classical Civilisation, Greek, French, German, Spanish, and General Studies.

The Enrichment Programme offers Sixth Formers a broad range of options ranging from CCF to Film Studies or Organic Gardening.  Sixth Formers also have three Games afternoons per fortnight, and are also taught ICT, life skills and communication.
