Perse Sport
The Perse Upper School has a strong sporting tradition and a commitment to 'Sport for All' and 'Sporting Excellence'.
The school's main sports are Cricket, Hockey, Netball, Rugby and Tennis. From Years 7 to 9, pupils are split into ability groups, where they are coached by specialists and encouraged to progress through the groups. By Year 10 options are introduced and given to those pupils who wish not to participate in the main sport for the term. Once the pupils enter Year 11 and Sixth Form they are offered a games option and have the freedom to choose from the option list.
All sports are treated equally and help to enhance rather than detract from our main sports.
The Sports Department supports all physical activities that students participate in outside of school. In the past, this has included eventing, gymnastics, orienteering, skeet shooting and swimming.
