The primary aim of sport at the Perse is to enable all students to have a rewarding and fulfilling experience in their sporting life at the school, and to feel enriched by the balance that this offers with the academic. Although we strive for excellence we aim for mass-participation.

We strive for excellence both in performance and attitude and to cater for all students regardless of ability by providing access to first class coaching, opportunity and facilities.

Important sporting values such as sportsmanship, codes of conduct, respect for officials, discipline, reliance, leadership, teamwork, winning, losing and simply having fun, are all fostered within the framework of the programmes offered

Our approach to sport is in line with the school’s belief that education is concerned with the all rounded human being, and that every pupil has a worthwhile experience with the ability to achieve and excel in some different sporting fields.

Senior students have the opportunity to work towards a Leadership Award Scheme during their enrichment afternoons.
